My face turns a shade darker

It's my dead give away

When I notice it

I curse

Under my breath.

I didn't think it would happen again,

Truly.

The lingering laughs

My curiosity that puts me in a place

That reaches outside my own head.

two who hide out at a party

Who run off for a midnight walk

Laugh at anything

Talk about anything under the sun

I see his light

And he sees mine

Now I'm feeling

Different

I ask him if he's ready to see my world

Laugh with me

At the wildest scars I have

And he asks if I want to laugh

At his too

I know it won't always be

Like this

But it's a start

Butterflies are back

I forget that for awhile

I felt nothing.
